She Brings Me Joy
Thinking about one 'small thing' that brings me joy!
She brings me joy. Her cold nose nudging me early in the morning - my personal and very warm alarm clock. Of late, she let's me sleep in As if sensing I need this rest. She brings me joy With a wag of her tail and the special sound she makes to tell me she wants to play. She brings me joy When she howls loudly when we get home after a while away 'Where did you go? And where's my treat?' She seems to say. She brings me joy (Even when her lunging at other dogs frustrates me at times) As I'm forced to go out of the house at least three times a day . She brings me joy When she hides in plain sight And expects me to say , 'Lucky's gone!' A game we've played since she was a puppy. I'm mindful that my now teh year old dog Needs me more than ever. But what she doesn't know is how much I need her This bringer of joy!
.It’s been a while since I wrote here, but I couldn’t resist responding to Alegria de Rose ‘s prompt in her post ‘I Stole Something From Mr Lake’.
I realise that I need to write on this Stack more often. Perhaps even do the 100 day project here ( #The100DayProject Newsletter ) rather in my notebook

What beautiful joy you describe with Lucky Corinne. I love your little game and all the joy you bring each other. Thank you for writing this here and using this simple prompt to spread more joy. 💕
