How Dare They!
I was dozing, warm and calm, when they jumped into me, thinking my quiet water was a friendly pool. Their happy giggles woke me, shaking through my metal sides. I felt irritation rising, slow but steady, heating me from the bottom up. I tried to settle again, but they splashed and played even louder, not caring whose rest they disturbed. Soon my annoyance grew into a hard, rolling boil. Their giggles turned to sharp squeals as bubbles pushed around them and the heat climbed higher. They finally realized their mistake, but it was far too late. Let them stew.
